A 3D Netrek client

Netrek3D is an attempt to create a 3D port using popular Netrek clients.

The current version 0.01 is a hack onto the Netrek 1999 client - During game execution, a seperate thread is spawned to contain the 3D port and mainloop of the 3D client. Netrek3D v.0.01 is by no way a fully functional client. It is meant to demonstrate the possiblities of Netrek in 3D

Execution: netrek3d -h <servername|IP>
Note : Click to focus on login window. Current version only supports 'guest' login. Key and Mouse controls are similar to other Netrek Clients. No help is provided in the current version.

The 3d client was developed on W2K using the Genesis3D engine; on a PII 266 TNT2. Requirements: DirectX 8.0 , Netrek Server (RSA disabled) - preferably local.
